Although it may be a little of the beaten track at Disney World, the restaurants at the Wilderness Lodge are definitely worth exploring,
Disney’s Wildereness Lodge is a Deluxe hotel resort which is located close to Magic Kingdom but which feels a whole world away. The design is themed after the great lodges of the American Northwest.
Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful resort which is well worth a visit just to look around at the beautiful grounds and the architechture. You feel very distant from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks in this very relaxing place.
You will also find some of the best restaurants that Disney World has to offer in the Wildnerness Lodge Resort. Here is what you can expect from each of the Wildereness Lodge Restaurants.
Disney World Whispering Canyon Cafe
Even if you aren’t staying in the Wilderness Lodge, you should try and stop by the Whispering Canyon Cafe if you have time during your vacation. Sure, it is a little off the beaten path, but that is part of it’s charm.
The Disney World Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of those Disney World Dining Hidden Gems that you need to experience at least once.
The appeal of this Wilderness Lodge restaurant is not just the food that it serves. The other main attraction is the atmosphere created by the servers. It’s service with a sassy attitude!
The service is entertaining is the very best possible way. Don’t dine here unless you are prepared to join in with the banter. Having said that, don’t be put off – it’s all in good humor and the servers always seem to know who to engage and who they should really just leave to eat their meal in peace!
The Whispering Canyon is located just off the beautiful foyer in the Disney Wilderness Lodge. Resort.

Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White – Temporarily Closed
Much as we don’t want to use the term “hidden gem” for two restaurants in such close proximity to each other, we really can’t think of any other way to put it. Story Book Dining is one of the lesser known character dining experiences in Disney World – and it is definitely one of the best.
For years Artist Point in Wilderness Lodge was a much overlooked fine dining restaurant. Fabulous food with a great dining atmosphere. Now the journey off the beaten path to Artist Point is well worth it to sample their Story Book Dining.
It is unfortunate that it is not open right now – but we are sure that it will be again soon.
This is a great opportunity to meet Snow White who makes sure that she visits each table. You have to go up and meet the Evil Queen but this is a great photo opportunity, as well as being a rare chance to meet one of the Disney Villains.

Disney World Restaurants
Have you eaten at one of the restaurants at the Wilderness Lodge. It is not one of the most obvious places to eat in Walt Disney World, but that is also one of it’s attractions. The two full service restaurants which can be found there are definitely worth a try.
If you want more ideas for dining at Walt Disney World, dining at the hotels is a great idea. My favorite has to be the Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurants. Where else in North America can you dine and watch the giraffes walk by.
There are also many excellent dining choices in the Epcot Park Restaurants. There really is something for everyone in Epcot.
