Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods Materials
You don’t really need very much in the way of equipment to make these Disneyland Chocolate Covered Pretzel Sticks.
All you need is a Cookie sheet covered with Parchment Paper. You really do need to use the parchment paper as you will be using melted chocolate which will stick.
Another useful item to have is some spray oil to use on the parchment paper.
This reduces the chance of sticking as well.Ingredients for Disney Chocolate Pretzel Rods
- 1 (16 ounce) bag of Pretzel Rods
- 16 ounces Ghirardelli Melting Chocolate Wafers semisweet, dark or white chocolate or Candy Melts
- Bag of M&M’S Milk Chocolate MINIS
The ones in Disneyland use MINI Reese’s Pieces candies instead of the M & M’s
Directions:
Melt the chocolate or candy melts. The easiest way is by heating the pieces in the microwave at 30-second
intervals. Make sure to keep checking this and be aware that the container can get very very hot.
Continue until the chocolate or candy melts are completely melted.
Dip the pretzel rods into the melted chocolate, shaking off any excess. One tip I have discovered which I will do next time is to put the chocolate into a tall glass. This then makes dipping and even chocolate distribution a lot easier!
Then transfer the pretzel sticks to the parchment-lined and oiled baking sheet. Sprinkle with M&M’s or Reese’s Pieces before the chocolate has a chance to set.
Just imagine you are walking down Main Street in Disneyland or Disney World and enjoy!
