Disney Wish Restaurants – Discover All The Dining Experiences on the Ship

One thing that you can be sure of on a Disney Cruise is that you will never go hungry. There are so many different dining options and restaurants on Disney Wish the choice can seem overwhelming.

Here is the Ultimate Guide to the Disney Wish Restaurants.

There are three types of dining on any Disney Cruise Ship:

  • Rotational Dining
  • Adult Exclusive Dining
  • Casual Dining

Here we are talking about the Disney Wish restaurants and the adult-exclusive restaurants. There are other options such as the casual dining options on deck and in some of the bars – we will cover these separately.

What is Rotational Dining?

All of the Disney ships have a unique concept – rotational dining.

On each ship, including the Disney Wish, there are three main dining restaurants.

Guests “rotate” between the restaurants, which means that they will dine in a different place each evening.

Therefore you get to experience each of the restaurants on Disney Wish at least once. If you are sailing on a 4-night cruise then you will visit one of the restaurants twice.

The Disney Wish has three rotational dining restaurants:

  • Arendelle – A Frozen Dining Experience
  • 1923
  • Worlds of Marvel

Disney Wish Dining Rotation

When you board Disney Wish you will be able to see on your Navigators App what your dining rotation is.

This means that you will know which restaurant on Disney Wish to go to each evening.

There is a pattern to your Disney Wish dining rotation.

The order of each restaurant is 1923, Worlds of Marvel, then Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Experience.

What this means is that if you are sailing on a Disney Wish 3-night cruise and your first night is in Worlds of Marvel, you will go to Arendelle the next night, then 1923 on your final night.

If you are sailing a 4-night cruise on Disney Wish you will repeat the restaurant that you go to on the second night, and go there on the third night as well.

So, for instance, if you start in 1923 then you will have this dining rotation on Disney Wish:

1923, Worlds of Marvel, Worlds of Marvel again, then Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Experience.

Or if you start in Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Experience you will then go to 1923, and then 1923 again, with your final night in Worlds of Marvel.

In each Disney Wish rotational dining restaurant, you will have the menus I have detailed for you in this guide. However, each Wish cruise has Pirate Night.

For Pirate Night you will have the special Pirate Night Menu.

This means that if you are on a 3-night Disney Wish cruise you will miss one of the restaurant specific menus and have the Pirate Night Menu.

If you are on a 4-night cruise, you will experience all of the Disney Wish restaurant menus and have the Pirate Night Menu in addition.

You can call Disney Cruise Line at 1-800-951-3532 to request a specific dining rotation for any of the Disney ships. This, in my experience, usually works as DCL really is committed to giving you the best experience.

If on boarding the ship you are not happy with your Disney Wish dining rotation then you can go to Luna Lounge from 1 pm and request a change with the dining team. They will help you if they possibly can.

Arendelle – A Frozen Dining Experience

We are all invited to Anna and Kristoff’s engagement party which is held in a wing of Queen Elsa’s Arendelle Castle.

As you walk down the long corridor to the restaurant make sure that you take some time to look at the pictures on the wall.

Some are directly from the Frozen movie.

The first thing that you will notice about the Arendelle Frozen restaurant on the Wish is how large it seems.

The second thing you will probably notice is just how close the tables are together!

There is a stage in the center of the room. If you get a table at the side of the stage you are in the best place (although the show is loud).

Because of the arrangement of the tables, there are many places is the Frozen restaurant where you can’t see the stage very well. You will certainly be able to hear them though!

Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and Oaken all appear in the show.

The main characters in this show are not in the movie, but this works really well, with the movie favorites appearing alongside them and also visiting tables.

It is noticeable that the characters tend not to visit the tables at the side of the stage.

I really didn’t mind this but if you have a young Frozen fan at your table they may well be disappointed if they are sitting close to the stage. So you might want to prepare them that Anna and Elsa may not necessarily visit your table.

Arendelle – A Frozen Dining Experience Menu

The menu definitely has a Scandinavian influence, and there are some stand-out choices such as Elsa’s Royal Scallops and the Icelande Cod Filet.

1923 Restaurant on the Disney Wish – An Overview

1923 was the year that Walt and Roy Disney opened Walt Disney Studios.

This beautiful restaurant is a tribute to Hollywood glamor and the 1920s Golden Age of Cinema.

It is certainly very different from the vast space of Arendelle. The 1923 restaurant is split into two identical dining spaces. One named after Walt and the other after Roy Disney.

The space is divided into smaller spaces, so it gives the feeling of being a more intimate dining experience even though hundreds of guests are seated at the same time.

The design and feel of the restaurant are very reminiscent of Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney’s California Adventure.

Sachi Handke, show coordinator, Walt Disney Imagineering commented:

“We want you to feel how classy this space is, and we want you to feel classy dining there like you might turn your head and there is Walt Disney sitting right next to you.”

Take some time to look at the many display cabinets and the pictures on the walls. There are over 800 unique exhibits in the 1923 Restaurant.

Sixteen Disney animated films are represented in the restaurant, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Pinocchio (1940), Fantasia (1940), Bambi (1942), Cinderella (1950), Alice in Wonderland (1951), Peter Pan (1953), Sleeping Beauty (1959), The Sword in the Stone (1963), The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), The Princess and the Frog (2009), Tangled (2010), Frozen (2013), Moana (2016), and Frozen 2 (2019).

Worlds of Marvel Disney Wish Restaurant

If you have sailed on any of the other Disney Cruise ships, the Marvel restaurant is probably the most like Animator’s Palate.

Just like 1923, Worlds of Marvel is divided into two identical sides (the kitchen is in the middle).

On each side, the space is divided up into smaller “rooms’ with screens on the walls. There are enough screens so that no matter which table you are seated at, you will get a good view.

The other thing that you will immediately notice is the large centerpiece on your table.

This is the Quantum Core, which as Ant-Man will explain, has the ability to shrink down or increase the size of any object.

Disney Wish Worlds of Marvel Menu

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly appear as their original characters Ant-Man and The Wasp.

The backstory is that Ant-Man and The Wasp are attending a speaking engagement representing their fellow Avengers. 

They will be talking about and showcasing a presentation of the Super Hero technology to show to the Disney cruisers.

No spoilers here, but you don’t need to know the Ant-Man movies to follow the show. It’s entertaining whether or not you are a Marvel franchise fan.

Disney Wish World of Marvel Restaurant Drinks Menu

In my quest to try all the signature drinks in the Disney Wish restaurants, I ordered the Wakanda Tasting Lab.

This is most definitely a drink to share – if only to justify the $30 cost! It was beautifully presented and the drinks all tasted pretty good too!

DISNEY WISH SPECIALTY DINING RESTAURANTS

All of the Disney ships have restaurants that are open to over 18s only and that you will pay extra for.

You will find Palo on all of the Disney Ships.

The difference on Disney Wish is that this restaurant is called Palo Steakhouse and, as you will probably have guessed, this restaurant has more of an emphasis on steak than the other Disney Palo restaurants.

The Dream and Fantasy both have an additional adult restaurant – Remy – which is named after the lovable character in Pixar’s Ratatouille.

Disney Wish also has. a second adult-exclusive restaurant – Enchante.

You will find both Encante and Palo Steakhouse located on Deck 12 of Disney Wish.

To get to either of these adult restaurants on Disney Wish you will first have to walk through The Rose Bar.

The whole of this area on Disney Wish is themed after the Beauty and the Beast movie. Even if you do not dine in Enchante or Palo, take some time to visit the area and look at the beautiful detailing.

The Rose Bar is well worth a visit for a pre-dinner drink, or simply as a place to spend some relaxing time gazing out of the floor-to-ceiling windows.

You enter the space through a long corridor. Just like in the Arendelle restaurant, take some time to look at the pictures on the walls in the corridor which leads to a replica of the Enchanted Rose.

The Servers in the Rose Bar were some of the very best I have ever encountered on a Disney Cruise Ship.

If you walk forward through The Rose Bar you will see Palo Steakhouse ahead of you.

Turn to your left and go through the door, which will lead you to another corridor that leads to the fine dining Enchante Restaurant.

Each has an upcharge of $45. For the Palo Steakhouse Dinner, there is also an a la Carte Menu.

Here you have a choice of one of two experiences – either The Collection or Passion.

The Collection is priced at $195 per person and is a dinner menu that combines both new creations and Enchante Signature Dishes.

It will change according to what is best in season that the market has to offer at the time that you dine.

The Passion option is $125 per person and offers:
